How to Use Yearlify
A complete guide to creating your perfect yearly photo calendar in minutes.
Quick Start Guide
Yearlify is designed to be simple and intuitive. Follow these steps to create your first yearly calendar in just a few minutes.
Add Your Photos
Start by clicking on any month card in the calendar grid. You'll see options to add photos. You can:
- Drag and drop images directly onto the month card from your file explorer
- Click the upload button to browse and select photos from your device
- Add multiple photos to each month to create beautiful collages
Tip: Yearlify supports JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP formats. For best results, use high-resolution images (at least 1000px on the longest side).
Arrange and Customize
Once you've added photos, click on any image to select it. You'll see selection handles that let you:
Move Photos
Click and drag selected photos to reposition them anywhere within the month card.
Resize & Rotate
Use corner handles to resize. Use the rotation handle to rotate photos to any angle.
Pro Tip: Add multiple photos and layer them to create depth. New photos appear on top, but you can arrange them by moving them around.

Best Practices
- Choose meaningful photos: Select images that represent key moments from each month. Quality over quantity - a few well-chosen photos often look better than many random ones.
- Maintain consistency: Try to use photos of similar quality and style across months for a cohesive look. This creates a more professional and polished final calendar.
- Balance your layout: Don't overcrowd any single month. Leave some breathing room between photos for a cleaner, more readable design.
- Save frequently: Save your project regularly to avoid losing your work. The .ylf file is small and can be stored anywhere - your computer, cloud storage, or email it to yourself.
- Experiment freely: Yearlify is free and your photos never leave your device. Try different layouts, arrangements, and compositions until you find what works best for your memories.
